Qi Gong (In-Studio)

This daoist based qi gong is a regenerative moving meditation practice, a cultivation of whole health through breathwork and the transmission of ancient forms developed over thousands of years by studying nature and the felt sense of the body. We begin centering ourselves through breath, the earth, our bodies and the heavens within the space of the collective, continuing with the shaking practice to open the qi flow through the meridians, transitioning into form movements to cultivate the qi, concluding with the closing sequence to store our cultivated qi and giving deep gratitude. 

***Please note that we will be developing the third Thursday of every month as a silent practice with only a brief introduction from the instructor and depending on attendance, very little spoken instruction if any, through the practice. Qi Gong is highly powerful in silence, following only through watching and repeating movement, and more importantly, deeply feeling the moments within your own body. Everyone is welcome to come to the silent practice, even as a first introduction to Qi Gong, with an understanding that these sessions will be silent or with very minimal verbal instruction.
